Default R/d?

hey everyone,iv been reading up on a R/D scyte/pet build, and before investing money in tomes/scythe etc i was wondering if a build like:
wounding strike-eremite's attack-chilling victory-scavenger strike-never rampage alone-aura of holy might-charm animal-comfort animal
would be any good

Thanks in advance,
sniper eyes

I'm not very familiar with it and no doubt someone will be along to critique the build but just so you know you don't need both the charm animal/comfort animal skills to run a beastmaster build in PvE now.

Comfort Animal brings the pet along and doubles up as a Res/heal for it

Yeh , you can use Asuran Scan instead of Charm Animal.

thanks mates, but just wondering, but since my ranger doesnt have acces to the skill asuran scan yet, because he hasn't started eotn yet (new character),could you guys give me a replacement for it untill i can get it? I myself was thinking maybe somewhere along the line of lightning reflexes for the extra survivability

Maybe Brutal Strike , nice bonus if you use it while target is under 50% hp. Ebsoh is good too or any other pve skill like YMLAD.

Lightning reflex would work, though I prefer run as one because it gives you and your pet a decent IMS. I find that few monsters go after my ranger because his health is high, and that my healers can keep me up against damage. I would also take cripling victory or farmer's scythe over chilling because chilling can get energy intensive, though you have scavenger's to help. It all depends on your playstyle.

Use Asuran Scan if you're playing a melee.
